After graduating and a year-long experience of internships in investment banking, I chose to work in strategy consulting to gain a deeper and broader understanding of companies’ business models, in many different sectors.
I joined Estin & Co due to the firm’s strict focus on strategy consulting, the intellectually challenging people I met during my interviews, and the promising career perspectives offered by its relatively small size.

Every sector, every issue a client comes to us with requires a customized approach. In some sectors where little data is available, interviews with clients and competitors at a high-end level may be the key to understanding market dynamics and economics. In others, complex modelization (evolutions of demand and supply, cyclicity…) may be required to properly evaluate market outcomes and strategic options.
This impacts directly the daily job, as my tasks can vary from collecting data through desk research and adding value through modelling or valuations, to travelling to meet with executives and experts to discuss their sector’s trends and characteristics.
In any case, the constant component of the job is to create an end-product which is easy to understand and to communicate to both the team’s manager and the client. To make our recommendations convincing, they must not only come from rigorous analysis, but the reasoning and output must also be clear and well synthesized.
