As a consultant, you are given responsibilities right away and your skills are sharpened successively and steadily with each project.

In strategy consulting, no two projects present the same issues and Estin & Co does not simply apply standard tools to solve problems. Thus, creativity on the job is already expected at the level of consultant, whether you are working on data gathering, getting the right people to interview, or building models to explain, simulate and solve complex issues.

I have been able to learn rapidly about key strategic issues in a large number of industries, such as Electricity, Consumer Goods, Telecommunications, and Machinery, among others.

During university, it became clear to me that in strategy consulting I would find ongoing challenges, variety in terms of businesses to work with and problems to solve, and a fast track to grow both professionally and personally. Estin & Co proved to be especially appealing because of its clearly strategy oriented approach, the relatively small offices with a dynamic, young and international atmosphere, and the possibility of working closely with experienced managers and vice presidents .

Every day I communicate in at least three different languages. Personal interaction and communication is important, whether I am having discussions internally or externally, interacting with clients or clients’ competitors, working at the desk or in the field, worldwide.

For example on a strategic due-diligence project I work firstly on data gathering, communicating with the management of the target, clients and suppliers, industry experts and also competitors in different countries. I then use this information for building a small model in order to forecast the potential and risks of the business and the target. The last step is to communicate and present our professional opinion to the potential buyer.
