Why I joined

Having previously worked in the financial markets I was looking for a career that would broaden my knowledge base and skill set. It was also important that the job would be intellectually stimulating and offer the opportunity to tackle challenging and complex problems in a variety of areas.

During the interview process at Estin & Co I was immediately impressed by the calibre of the people and excited by the opportunity to work for a dynamic, international firm alongside senior figures, both internally and externally.

Life at the firm

From almost day one at the firm you are expected to make a productive contribution to the projects you are assigned. The work is varied and interesting as every case we work on is unique and we never offer our clients “cookie-cutter” solutions.

As a consultant you are continuously learning about new businesses and industries and the methods used to analyse them from a strategic viewpoint. What does not change is the requirement for the work to always be of the highest quality. Working to such high standards and alongside very smart colleagues makes the job demanding but also very rewarding.

The daily job

As Estin & Co places great emphasis on its analytical and factual approach to solving complex strategic issues consultants spend considerable time sourcing information on which to build the analysis. The methods used to source data can range from searching financial databases to interviewing company CEOs. As there is no segmentation of specialisation at Estin & Co it is possible to obtain a good understanding of a wide range of businesses and industries in a relatively short space of time. Consultants are then expected to assist the managers and partners to synthesis and analyse the data in order to give our clients actionable recommendations. As a junior consultant you are given considerable autonomy and responsibility but because of the friendly atmosphere at the firm colleagues are always willing to help and answer any questions you may have.
