Jean-Charles, Manager"Working in a challenging environment together with talented people highly accelerates your own personal development" ProfileManager French Ecole HEC Life outside the firm:
Why I joinedDuring my final year at HEC, it became clear to me that I wanted to start my career in strategy consulting. Yet I was a bit put off by the long lasting reorganization projects conducted by management consulting companies and I definitely wanted to focus on strategy. I started to investigate companies that best fit what I was looking for. When I heard about Estin & Co, which I wasn't previously familiar with, I knew it was the right choice. Three years later, I am thrilled I made this decision. Today, I spend 100% of my time on strategic cases. Life at the firmWorking at Estin & Co is demanding. Very early on, you have to participate in the resolution of a case posed by top managers, which requires strong analytical capabilities and maturity. Each project is different. Yet what has surprised me most is the excellent atmosphere at work and outside the firm. Granted we all have a lot of responsibilities from the start, but the daily teamwork is excellent and above my expectations. For instance, we regularly meet after work. I truly believe that this strong team atmosphere allows us to work effectively together for our clients. The daily jobAs a manager, I am usually in charge of a whole working module of the project. It gives me a lot of autonomy and requires me to structure and take initiative to build a strong reasoning that will help the client to make the right decision in an environment he knows very well. I am in charge of structuring our approach and giving directions to the case team I am part of. I also help consultants with their work. It is all part of the Estin & Co philosophy. One always has to anticipate the next step of the pyramid of responsibility. |
